Yarding–2315                            Lambs–  695                               Sheep– 1620

There was a slight increase in the number of sheep yarded for the fortnightly sale for a total of 2,315, consisting of 1,620 sheep and 695 lambs. The yarding of lambs consisted of a good supply of trade weights and a fair number of heavy lambs. Quality was good in a market that saw young lambs top at $189/head. Most of the trade old lambs saw a improvement of $2 to $4/head, however heavy lambs struggled to hold firm. The yarding of mutton was also of good quality, with increased numbers of wethers offered, although there was also a fair penning of ewes through the sale. Although most sheep were good quality the market was overall slightly easier.
