Numbers declined only slightly, with a fair quality offering. Despite that, the cow quality reduced somewhat to see a cheaper trend for the extra heavy drafts. That trend continued in the heavy yearling feeders. All the regular buyers attended. Limited weaner numbers saw restockers active in the purchase of steers and heifers, there being no comparison on last sale's results. Light yearling steers saw a slightly cheaper trend, back 2c to 7c/kg. Medium weight feeder steers showed no change on last week, the same category restockers seeing a dearer result, up 8c/kg. Heavy feeders sold to a marginally cheaper trend, back 4c/kg. Light restocker heifers to feed averaged 417c/kg, while the medium weights sold to cheaper trends owing to a quality correction. Trade heifers sold to slightly dearer trends to average 381c/kg. Light grown steers sold to dearer trends to feed, while heavy steers to showed cheaper trends with breed and quality a factor. Grown heifers were also back 16c/kg. A decline in the quality of the cow offering saw only a marginal positive for the 3 score cows. The 4 score penning saw a reduction in trends of 14c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to a dearer trend of 15c/kg, topping at 368c/kg.
