The offering reduced by 30% to see a good quality penning, which included a slight increase in the cow offering.Most processors were present and operating, as did the usual field of feeder and restocker competition,to see a general rise in trends for all categories. Limited weaners saw dearer trends, up 18c for steers and very limited heifer numbers, up over 30c/kg. Yearling steers to feed sold to dearer trends of 39c, the medium weights, while the heavy drafts sold to rises of 16c/kg. The limited yearling heifer offering sold firm to slightly dearer trends. Grown steers and heifers, in reduced numbers, sold to dearer trends, steers up 8c/kg, with the heifer portion selling 18c to 20c/kg better. Medium weight cows sold to moderate rises of 9c/kg, with the heavy D3 and D4 offering selling to dearer trends. A good penning of heavy bulls made to 307c/kg.
