Cattle – 1327

In a mixed offering of 1327 head at Inverell trends increased considerably through most categories. All the regular buyers operated with one abstainig from competition conversely there was an extra background operator in the mix.  Light steers to background were 4c/kg cheaper selling to an avereage of 360c/kg. On the  positive side similar weight feeder steers sold to significantly dearer trends of 30c/kg with the medium weight counterparts 3c/kg better 310c to 368c/kg. Medium weight background steers averaged 370c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold to substantially dearer trends 320c to 356c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to process sold to 310c/kg. Similar weight heifers to feed on were up to 20c/kg dearer.  Lighr heifers to feed were 30c/kg dearer with the backgrounder drafts to 14c/kg better selling 306c to 322/kg.  Grown steers and heifers to process sold to dearer trends. Cows were dearer the medium weights 7c/kg better with the heavy drafts 6c/kg dearer selling to 255c/kg. Bulls were firm to top at 270c/kg.
