Cattle - 1355
Numbers were down slightly for a yarding of 1,355 head. Yearling cattle made up a large percentage of the yarding, and there was several pens of weaners offered, while there was a similar offering of cows. Quality was good with runs of cattle crop finished, and well bred cattle yarded. Restocker interest increased for weaners and light yearlings with weaner steers selling to a top of 574c to be 20c dearer, while weaner heifers toped at 468c/kg. Light background yearling steers were also dearer selling from 494c to 550c/kg. Light and medium weight feeder steers held firm, however heavy feeder steers were firm to 5c easier, selling from 464c to 526c/kg. Light and medium weight feeder heifers saw little change while the heavier heifers were down by 10c selling from 422c to 476c/kg. The few grown steers toped at 450c to process, while grown heifers sold to 474c/kg. The cow market was 10c to 15c cheaper with 2 and 3 scores selling from 355c to 388c, and heavy cows ranged from 384c to 410c/kg. Heavy bulls met a stronger market reaching a top price of 414c/kg.

Yarding – 2440 Lambs – 2092 Sheep - 348
Sheep numbers were down by over 2,000 for a total of 2,440 head, consisting mainly of lambs and a small penning of mutton. Quality of the lambs was good with several lots of supplementary fed, and crop finished lambs on offer. The market was easier with most lambs selling $10 to $15/head cheaper. Light trade lambs sold from $160 to $217 while heavy trade weights sold from $190 to $244/head. Extra heavy lambs ranged from $194 to $330/head. Heavy Dorper lambs sold from $260 to $276/head. The small offering of mutton sold from $140 to $230/head.
