Cattle - 862
Inverell penned 862 plainer quality cattle reducing by 283 head. Trends improved for the most part including a larger offering of light weaners which sold to dearer trends. The regular buyers attended and operated. Weaner steers under 200kgs gained 5c/kg 400c to 614c/kg similar heifers much dearer 386c to 496c/kg all to background. Weaner heifers to process slipped 9c/kg 440c to 478c/kg. Light yearling steers to background significantly dearer 428c to 592c/kg. Medium feeder steers down 9c/kg quality related 424c to 458c/kg. Heavy processor steers dearer to 455c/kg. Medium heifers to feed gained 16c/kg 420c to 538c/kg and heavy feeder heifers were cheaper 450c to 482c/kg. Heavy processors lifted 5c/kg 450c to 490c/kg. Grown steers to process were dearer 420c to 434c/kg similar heifers lifted 20c/kg 364c to 432c/kg. Heavy grown heifers to feed to 26c/kg better 420c to 504c/kg. Cows to the paddock increased 36c/kg while similar weights to feed gained 29c/kg 366c to 390c/kg. Three score cows lifted 15c/kg and prime heavy cows down 18c/kg 391c to 410c/kg. Heavy bulls 320c to 420c/kg. A pen of heavy bulls to feed sold to 414c/kg. Yearling bulls to feed 416c to 504c/kg.

Inverell penned similar numbers of 3175 sheep and lambs comprising 1419 grown sheep and 1756 lambs. With all buyers attending and operating trends were mixed but heavy and medium lambs prevailed to register dearer trends for those categories. Restockers had minimal input. Merino lambs to the paddock $132 to $175/head. Crossbred lambs also to the paddock $180 to $238/head. Dorpers to $160/head. Merinos to process $245 to $280/head. Medium trade Dorpers slightly dearer $259 to $271/head crossbred equivalents $220 to $270/head. Trade crossbreds 24to 26kgs cwt $21/head dearer $290 to $330/head. Heavy crossbreds to 30kgs cwt were $2/head better $280 to $320/head. Lambs over 30kgs cwt $325 to $398/head. Hoggets $124 to $250/head. Light crossbred ewes to $170/head and trade Merinos made to $229/head. Dorper ewes $4/head dearer $191 to $218/head. Heavy Dorper ewes $230 to $350/head crossbreds $180 to $250/head. wethers $210 to $270/head. Meat rams $90 to $210/head.
