Cattle - 1556
There was a yarding of 1,556 head consisting of some good runs of feeder steers and heifers and a few pens of weaners. Southern processors dominated the cow market competition strongly on the well finished heavy cows,with several lines crop finished. Feeder buyers were also keen to acquire cattle especially the well bred cattle. Feeder steers sold from 324c to 380c, while feeder heifers ranged from 324c to 380c/kg. There was only an odd grown steer that toped at 382c/kg to feed. There was several pens of grown heifers ranging from 310c to 370c/kg. The 2 score cows sold from 240c to 287c, while 3 scores ranged from 286c to 326c and heavy 4 score cows sold from 312c to 360c/kg. Heavy bulls toped at 332c/kg.
