Cattle- 1145

Inverell penned 335 head extra to offer 1145 plainer quality cattle . This offering detracted mostly from the cow result in particular. Not all buyers attended those present competed to subdued trends. It must be said that although there was less interest through the yearling heifers there was competition for that category in the medium range  to go through to the feedlots.  Light weaner steers under 200kgs were dearer 400c to 610c/kg as were similar heifers 290c to 486c/kg both categories to background. Weaner steers to 280kgs slipped 9c/kg to background 400c to 570c/kg. Medium steers gained 15c/kg 510c to 582c/kgs and heavy feeders 424c to 552c/kg.   Heifers to 280kgs to background were cheaper 370c to 472c/kg. Medium feeders slipped slightly 430c to 528c/kg. Heavy feeders cheaper 382c to 510c/kg. Heavy heifers to process made to 450c/kg.  There were no numbers of grown steers to report. Grown heifers to feed were cheaper 370c to 472c/kg. Conversely similar heifers to process lifted 15c/kg 378c to 500c/kg. All cows were cheaper. Prime heavy cows down 15c/kg 410c to 428c/kg. Two and three score cows significantly cheaper 280c to 410c/kg. Bull weaners to background 296c to 422c/kg. Heavy bulls to process 376c to 424c/kg.
