Cattle– 1300

Agents at Inverell penned 1,300 cattle up by 833 head. All the regular export and feeder buyers attended and responded to the lift in numbers and the quality offered which resulted in prices lifting across the yearling feeder and restocker lines. The penning of heavy cows sold firm to slightly dearer trends.   Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 374c to 610c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg sold from 420c to 594c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed sold from 470c to 554c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 404c to 516c/kg with those to the wholesale meat trade at 420c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-330kg  range to background sold from 390c to 476c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold from 368c to 520c with the heavy yearling heifers to feed at 464c to 546c/kg.  Grown steers to processors sold from 430c to 470c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 368c to 530c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 262c to 370c/kg with those to processors at 278c to 330c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors sold from 338c to 355c/kg. Good heavy cows to processors sold from 364c to 391c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 330c to 400c/kg.
