Cattle- 1088

Inverell penned 1088 mixed cattle. It was a plainer quality offering through most categories and ruled the trends to negative results for the most part. A large offering of light weaners saw those categories slip as much as 33c to 46c/kg steers to 370c/kg and heifers 348c/kg. Conversely better bred steers to background sold to strong competition. Cows were cheaper.  Light weaners steers under 200kgs 370c to 612c/kg similar heifers 348c to 520c/kg. Light yearling steers to background gained 29c/kg 480c to 610c/kg. Medium feeders down 18c/kg 420c to 594c/kg and background steers averaged 613c/kg.   Light heifers to feed slipped 7c/kg 430c to 510c/kg and backgrounders were cheaper 328c to 516c/kg. Medium feeders down 19c/kg 420c to 560c/kg.   Grown heifers to feed were cheaper 436c to 514c/kg and processor heifers much cheaper 292c to 386c/kg. Heavy cows to process 300c to 386c/kg two score cows 360c to 364c/kg. Store cows 260c to 376c/kg. Heavy bulls were dearer 370c to 421c/kg.  Stephen Adams MLA
