Cattle - 1900
There was a larger yarding of 1,900, head which consisted of increased numbers of weaners and a larger number of feeder cattle, and there was also a larger yarding of cows. The yarding of young cattle was mainly of good quality with several runs of well finished and well bred cattle which were suitable for restockers and feeder buyers. A big percentage of cattle were off crop. Restocker weaners sold to a dearer trend with the steers selling to a top price of 558c, while restocker weaner heifers sold to 443c/kg. Background yearling steers also sold to a dearer trend ranging from 428c to 552c/kg. Feeder cattle sold generally firm with medium and heavy feeder steers ranging from 384c to 485c, while feeder heifers sold from 426c to 462c/kg. The yarding of export cattle was dominated by cows, while there was only a few pens of grown steers, however there was several pens of grown heifers. Grown steers sold from 386c to 440c to process, while heifers ranged from 406c to 448c/kg. The cow market suffered a loss of 30c to 35c with 3 score cows averaging 350c and heavy cows sold from 360c to 390c/kg. Heavy bulls reached a top price of 356c/kg.

Yarding – 3900 Lambs – 2685 Sheep - 1215
There was a yarding of 3,900 sheep, which included 2,685 lambs. Quality was good with several drafts off crop or supplementary fed. There was a good supply of trade lambs and increase numbers of heavy lambs offered. The market was fully firm for all classes of lambs with light trade weights selling from $195 to $260, while heavy trade weights ranged from $180 to $255/head. Heavy and extra heavy lambs sold from $240 to $420/head. Dorper lambs reached a top price of $340/head. Hoggets sold to $330/head. There was a generally good quality yarding of mutton, which consisted mainly of ewes. Dorper ewes toped at $240/head. The 3 score ewes sold from $186 to $320, while wethers sold to $289/head.
