Cattle - 992

 The supply of stock improved by 45 head at Inverell to 992. All the regular buyers attended and operated on a generally dearer market across all classes. Light weight vealer and yearling steers sold to price improvements of up to 39c/kg with yearling heifers also lifting by up to 19c/kg. Bullocks and cows followed the trend and sold to improved rates.  Light weight vealer steers to background sold from 440c to 460c/kg. Light weight yearling steers to restockers made 450c to average 425c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made 430c to average 411c with restockers paying to 440c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold to 444c and averaged 414c/kg. Light weight vealer heifers to restockers made 346c to average 343c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to background made 326c to average 313c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made 368c to average 327c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to processors sold to 360c and averaged 329c/kg.  Grown steers to processors sold to 366c with grown heifers selling to 362c and averaging 347c/kg. Light weight cows to processors made 259c to average 251c with those to restockers selling from 212c to 286c/kg. Heavy score 3 cows to processors made 265c to average 258c with the best heavy cows at 275c to average 270c/kg with one pen of PTIC heavy cows to restockers at 290c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors made 294c to average 282c/kg.
